As much as I’d love to, the creepy bump-dedicated tumblr blogs mean I’m not going to.

Expecting our first baby in december, and building ourselves a house.
So our idea was to try and build a collection of books for Luna as part of her welcoming present. So far, so good, and we’re planning on having a Book Shower when she arrives. This will mean all our friends and family will bring along a book that either they loved as a child and meant a lot to them, or they think is lovely in it’s own right. This was partially to avoid an influx of pink baby items which, whilst of course they would be appreciated, we’ve tried to stay pretty gender neutral up until this point, and there isn’t really anything we actually *need* when it comes to clothes and toys.
On Halloween the library idea was stepped up massively - me and my mum went to a talk by Quentin Blake, where he was discussing his recent illustration projects in and around hospitals and galleries.
Best bit of all, he signed a book for Luna’s collection.
I’ve been neglecting it at the moment because we had a bit of a hectic time with some growth scans that picked up some worrying results. Luckily all is fine and was just a scare, but did throw things into the mix quite a bit.
37 weeks though!!
So very excited. Our house is also coming along great, I’ve been going into overdrive a tad looking at interior design, choosing paint colours and most of all freaking out about curtains. I never thought I’d be one to freak out about curtains, but it seems that is my fate.
